A-37B Dragonfly
Review by Steve Bamford
With the recent re-release of the Monogram 1/48 Dragonfly, there became a screaming need for decals for this classic kit. Hasegawa and Academy already have 1/72 Dragonfly kits on the market. Albatros has heard our cries and responded with a massive selection of decal options for the 1/48 and 1/72 Dragonfly. This decal sheet has a very colourful selection of Dragonfly paint schemes from 12 different Airforces, including United States, Chilean AF, Royal Thai AF, Uruguayan AF, Peruvian AF, Ecuadorean AF, El Salvador AF, South Vietnamese AF, Honduran AF, Guatemalan AF, Dominican Rep. AF, Colombian AF. Some of the planes have "Sharks Mouth". So what is this sheet like? Well it is jam packed stuffed full of decals!!! Stencils are included for numerous planes, so it looks like you can build quite a few Dragonflys from this one sheet (not exactly sure how many planes...the stencils are in different languages including English). The printing quality is VERY crisp and clear on the 1/48 example I have. Much better than the basic kit decals and as clear as any aftermarket decals I've seen. Even the tiniest detail is clear....and the colours are beautiful!!! So many colourful options, it would be very difficult to pick just one...... The decals seem thin enough to conform to any detail but thick enough to cover base colours of the paint job underneath the decal. All I can say is good luck picking only one dragonfly from this beautiful decal sheet.
(resolution of decal sheet has been reduced to 75 dpi protect the art work)
